I’m a sucker for nice make-up.
Benefit Blusherers, Dior Lipglosses, and the odd Chanel Eyeliner has possibly sneaked its way into my vanity case over time. However my poor wallet can no longer afford to supply me money for luxuries that dont make that much of a difference past the packaging.
And then I discovered E.L.F.
The most amazing thing about E.L.F cosmetics,(Eyes, Lips, Face) is how incredibly cheap it is. Every product in the range costs £1.50 and they certainly don’t compromise on quality.
Founded by the creator of Urban Decay, E.L.F has a massive following across the pond (where prices are $1). Low overhead costs , little advertising and minimalist packaging means the consumer really only pays for the make up itself, which is nothing short of good quality ingredients.
“We never skimp on formualtions, but we do on packaging. For eaxample, we’de love to put mirrors in our compacts and have the same great containers as Nars or Stila- but we’re about something different: namely, giving women the chance to try anything they want without the commitment of a major spend” Joseph Shamer(founder)
“customers are skepitcal. It’s much easier to buy a £30 blusher and expect it to be good, than to buy a £1.50 one and expect the same thing”
In all honesty, E.L.F is good! It doesn’t have as much choice as American E.L.F, but it’s getting there, and if you join their mailing list, they offer yet more deals and offers. It really is good quality make-up, and absolutely perfect for us beauty credit crunchers!
